Managed IT services
Service desk, IT support, device and server management, patching, backup and monitoring, priced per user per month.

Arke Technologies' IT company services cover the ICT that mid-sized and large organisations, public bodies and schools depend on: managed IT and support, cybersecurity, cloud, networks, software development, systems integration, AI, business software and data. We deliver them from Johannesburg across South Africa, under one contract, with one accountable team.
A working ICT services definition: the work of designing, supplying, running and securing an organisation's information and communication technology, meaning its devices, servers, networks, connectivity, software and data. The ICT services meaning in practice is simpler: the services provided by IT companies so that everyone else can do their jobs. Public-sector documents tend to say ICT, which adds communications such as connectivity and telephony; in everyday buying the two terms overlap.
The different types of ICT services fall into three buying patterns: managed services that run continuously under a service-level agreement, projects with a start, a finish and a deliverable, and products that are supplied, then supported. Most organisations need all three, which is why we offer ICT services and solutions under one contract.

These are the types of IT solutions we deliver, with examples of ICT services in each.

Hardware and connectivity come from our own trading divisions, Server Hub and Fibre Boyz, so they sit under the same accountability as the support contract rather than with a third supplier.
IT hardware, through Server Hub. Servers, storage, networking, AI workstations and components from a catalogue of more than 26,000 products, priced in rand with VAT included. Every unit carries a local warranty: 12 months on new and certified refurbished, 90 days on pre-owned, in addition to your Consumer Protection Act rights. Business connectivity, through Fibre Boyz. Uncapped business fibre and fixed LTE, which can be bundled into the support contract: we arrange the line, set up the router, confirm the service and carry billing and support. How each service in our ICT services catalogue is usually bought, and what you receive to show it is working.
| Service | Usually bought as | Evidence you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Managed IT and service desk | A monthly fee per user, under an SLA | Monthly service report and review |
| Cybersecurity | An assessment, then remediation and ongoing service | Findings report and remediation plan |
| Cloud and infrastructure | A project, then managed operations | Architecture, runbooks and backup records |
| Network infrastructure | A project, then managed operations | Network documentation and change records |
| Software and integration | A scoped project, then a support agreement | Specification, test records and handover documentation |
| AI | A readiness session, a pilot, then rollout | Usage logs and approval records |
| Business software | Licences plus implementation and management | Licence register and admin records |
| Hardware and connectivity | A quote and purchase order; connectivity monthly | A quote with dated sources, and warranty terms |
Every service in an IT company's catalogue needs a clear commercial home. Ours sit in four layers of one relationship, so you can start with one service and add others without starting again:
01.
Service desk, monitoring, patching, backup and security management under the SLA, priced per user (seat) per month and billed monthly in advance by debit order.
02.
Migrations, new applications, integrations and network builds outside the SLA, each scoped and quoted per project with the assumptions written down.
03.
Hardware through Server Hub, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace licences, and connectivity through Fibre Boyz, quoted separately and then supported under your support contract.
04.
A named service lead, change control, documented escalation paths and one monthly service review that reports on all of it together.
The route in is the same for every client: discovery, assessment, proposal, SLA, onboarding, then the monthly service review. Managed IT services sets out what the SLA covers.
We provide ICT services across South Africa to enterprises, government and the public sector and schools and education; every sector is listed on industries we serve.
IT companies provide the services an organisation needs to run its technology: support and a service desk, device and server management, cybersecurity, cloud and networks, software development, integration, licensing and hardware supply. We cover all of them under one contract, so a problem that crosses two areas still has one owner.
Examples of ICT services include a managed service desk, device management, firewall and Wi-Fi management, cloud migration, backup and disaster recovery, penetration testing, Microsoft 365 licensing and management, custom software, API integration and business fibre. Each is either a monthly managed service, a project with a deliverable, or a product that is supplied and then supported.
ICT services include communication technology, such as connectivity and telephony, as well as computing, while IT services usually means computing alone. In South Africa the terms are often used interchangeably, and public-sector tenders mostly say ICT. We deliver both, including Teams telephony and VoIP, and business fibre and LTE through Fibre Boyz, our connectivity division.
Choose on accountability, evidence and exit terms rather than size. Ask the IT professional services companies on your shortlist for a sample SLA and monthly report, who will do the work, how compliance is documented, their B-BBEE status, and what happens to your data and credentials when the contract ends. The same test suits ICT professional services bought as a project; see how to choose an IT company.
Managed IT is usually priced per user per month; published South African rates run from about R180 to R400 (matnet.co.za, September 2026). Project work is quoted per project; published hourly rates for it run from about R550 to R750 ex VAT (matnet.co.za, September 2026). We set a per-seat price after an assessment and bill monthly in advance by debit order; managed IT pricing explains what drives it.
Yes. Our head office is in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg, and delivery is remote-first, so we provide ICT services across South Africa. Remote support runs on our own platform, monitoring runs every 15 minutes, and on-site work is carried by our own team under the SLA, so accountability stays with us wherever the site is. An assessment shows what you have, what it risks and what it would cost to run properly. We aim to respond to new enquiries within one business day. Contact Arke Technologies.
