IT support and managed IT
A service desk by phone and email, device and server management, patching and backups, under one SLA.

Arke Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a Johannesburg IT company serving Midrand companies, public bodies and schools, from Waterfall and Kyalami to Halfway House and Vorna Valley. We run managed IT, networks, cloud and cybersecurity under one SLA from our Greenstone Hill head office, covering your Johannesburg and Pretoria offices on the same contract.
Midrand sits on the N1 between Johannesburg and Pretoria, and its office parks and estates hold corporate head offices, distribution centres, data centres and public bodies. Many Midrand companies run larger sites than a city-centre office does: campuses of several buildings, warehouses where staff scan stock on handheld devices, and server rooms or colocation racks the business cannot work without.
If you are comparing IT companies in Midrand, ask the questions that decide an outage: who answers, the targets by priority, what is done on site, and how the network between buildings and branches is watched. Our head office is in Greenstone Hill, Edenvale, rather than in Midrand itself; we serve Midrand remote-first on our own tooling, with on-site visits set by the on-site policy in your SLA.
One contract can also cover your Midrand site, a head office in Sandton or Johannesburg, and a branch in Pretoria and Centurion, with one ticket queue and one monthly report. See where we work for every area we cover.

A campus or a distribution centre asks more of an IT company than a single office floor does. This is what we run for Midrand organisations.

LAN and WAN design, firewalls, VPNs and SD-WAN between campus buildings and remote sites.

VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox platforms, and client equipment placed and managed in South African colocation data centres.

Microsoft 365 hardening, endpoint protection, Microsoft Sentinel and tested restores.

Equipment from Server Hub, configured and bench-tested before dispatch, and business fibre and LTE from Fibre Boyz.

Campuses. Several buildings mean fibre backbones between them, a comms room in each, and one set of firewall and Wi-Fi policies across all of them. We design, install, certify and document the cabling, and monitor the network so a failing link is raised as a ticket rather than discovered by staff.
Warehouses and distribution centres. Metal racking and stock block and absorb Wi-Fi signals, so access points are placed for the aisles, not the floor plan, and the network must carry handheld scanners, printers and the warehouse system through a shift. We connect that system to your ordering and accounting software where needed; see IT for agriculture, logistics and distribution.
Colocation racks. Many of South Africa's colocation data centres are in Gauteng, several of them in and around Midrand. We do not own a data centre; we place and manage your equipment in South African colocation facilities, size and supply the hardware through Server Hub, and run the virtualised platform on it. Server rooms that stay on your own site get sensible power, cooling, UPS and racking for load-shedding.

Public entities and state-owned entities with offices in Midrand buy under the PFMA, and we work to its procurement and reporting disciplines. See IT for state-owned entities.
01.
We document your devices, servers, licences, networks, suppliers and credentials, and test them against a security, backup and support baseline.
02.
Scope, exclusions, on-site policy, price per seat and term, in writing. Incidents are prioritised P1 (critical outage) to P4 (low-impact request), with targets matched to the business impact of downtime and agreed with you.
03.
Credentials, runbooks and an asset register are recorded, and we take over from your current provider or team on an agreed date.
04.
Monitoring checks each computer every 15 minutes and logs faults as tickets automatically; remote work runs on our own platform, with every session approved and logged.

In Midrand, the price moves with users and devices, buildings and branches, warehouse and campus networks, colocation, security tooling and hours of cover. We price managed IT per user per month after an assessment, and quote projects, such as a new warehouse network, before work starts. See managed IT pricing.
Our head office is in Greenstone Hill, Edenvale, on the East Rand, and we serve Midrand companies on our own tooling. Staff reach the service desk by phone or email, monitoring logs faults as tickets automatically, and on-site visits are scoped and quoted per engagement.
Yes. One SLA can cover every site you run, with the scope, on-site policy and price per seat set per site where they differ. You get one service desk, one ticket queue and one monthly service review across Midrand, Johannesburg and Pretoria, and a new branch is a change to the SLA rather than a new supplier.
Yes. We place and manage client equipment in South African colocation data centres, and size and supply the servers through Server Hub. We do not own or operate a data centre ourselves. We run the virtualised platform on VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox, and include the racks in monitoring, patching and backup under the SLA.
Yes, as your SLA sets out. Faults are fixed remotely wherever possible, through our own remote-access platform, with every session approved and logged, and on-site visits for hardware, cabling and installations follow the on-site policy agreed in your SLA. Out-of-hours and weekend work is available by agreement.
Published South African managed IT rates run from about R180 to R400 per user per month (matnet.co.za, September 2026), with some providers listing R450 (MiBOT, September 2026). Buildings, branches, warehouse networks, colocation and hours of cover drive the figure. We price per user per month after an assessment and quote projects separately.
Plan the handover before the old contract ends. We run discovery first, record credentials, runbooks and an asset register during onboarding, and take over on an agreed date, so nothing depends on your outgoing provider's memory. Ask your current provider for your data, credentials and documentation, which you own.
We document your Midrand estate, from the comms rooms to the colocation rack, and return a proposal with a price per user per month and the SLA terms in writing. Call 010 447 2445 or email info@arketechnologies.com; we aim to respond to new enquiries within one business day.
