Our work: software, platforms and managed operations our team has delivered

Our work is the evidence behind our services: five case studies of software, platforms and managed operations delivered by the Arke Technologies team, from Johannesburg, for organisations in South Africa. Each shows the problem, what we built, how it runs and what it proves for your own project.

How we present client work

We reference client work with care. A client is named on these pages only where it has agreed to be; otherwise we describe the work, the technology and the outcome in general terms. Where a result is quoted, it is in the client's own words, not ours.

Two case studies are our own, and we say so plainly. AtlasOS is the practice platform we own (visit the AtlasOS site  (opens atlaspractice.app)), in production at Evolv Accountants, our sister company. The Server Hub platform runs our hardware division. A buyer weighing proof should know which evidence is independent and which is ours. Every case study here is work by the Arke Technologies team that delivers our services today.

What the work has in common

  • Built for local conditions. SARS and CIPC workflows, prices in rand, and apps that keep working when the signal drops.
  • People stay in charge of AI. AtlasOS's advisory assistant supports staff judgement rather than replacing it. Server Hub's customer assistant runs in off, draft or automatic mode, and in draft mode staff approve each reply before it goes out.
  • Data kept apart and logged. Each AtlasOS firm's data is isolated at the database level, and every remote session in our managed service is approved and logged.
  • Technology another team can take over. Next.js, React, PostgreSQL, Flutter, Firestore and Google Cloud are well documented and widely supported, so a system we build does not depend on us alone.

How a project with us runs

  1. Discovery

We learn how your people work, and where the current process breaks, before we design anything.

  2. Assessment

We map requirements, integrations (SARS, CIPC, payment gateways, your ERP or accounting system) and the personal information the system will hold under POPIA.

  3. Proposal

A defined scope, a delivery plan and sign-off points, with the work quoted per project.

  4. Build and review

You see working software at agreed reviews, and change control handles anything outside scope.

  5. Support

After launch, support runs under a service-level agreement, with incidents prioritised on a P1 to P4 scale against targets agreed in your SLA, and a monthly service review and report.

Procurement and continuity

Arke Technologies (Pty) Ltd (registration 2017/386810/07) is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor, which gives buyers 135% procurement recognition (sworn affidavit available on request). Company documents, our CSD supplier number, SARS tax compliance status and a bank confirmation letter are available on request, and we complete standard bidding documents (SBD forms) when a bid requires them.

We design for POPIA wherever a system holds personal information, and we work to PFMA and MFMA disciplines for public bodies and to King IV Principle 12 for boards. One contract covers the work, with one accountable team. You own your data, credentials and documentation, and at exit we hand over what another team needs to run the system. Procurement teams will find our registration details on company facts.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of work does Arke Technologies do? Show answer

Arke Technologies designs, builds, integrates, secures and supports the systems organisations run on. Our case studies cover a practice platform, ISO and ESG platforms, managed security operations and a commerce platform. We also supply servers and IT hardware through Server Hub and business connectivity through Fibre Boyz, so one accountable team can carry the whole stack.

Why are some clients not named in your case studies? Show answer

We name a client only where it has agreed to be named. Otherwise we describe the work, the technology and the outcome in general terms, which protects our clients' confidentiality and their security. The managed security case study, for example, covers several organisations in South Africa without naming any of them.

How much does a custom software project cost? Show answer

A custom software project is quoted per project after an assessment, because cost follows scope: users and roles, integrations, offline or mobile needs, security and reporting. We publish no hourly or project rates. For context, published South African rates for IT project work run from about R550 to R750 an hour ex VAT (matnet.co.za, September 2026). Our guide to app and software development cost goes further.

Who owns the data when a project or contract ends? Show answer

You do. You own your data, credentials and documentation throughout the engagement, not only at exit. When a contract ends, we hand over the credentials, documentation and runbooks another team needs to keep the system running, so a change of supplier is a planned handover rather than a rebuild.
